Genetics engineering

Genetic Engineering

By Visook

In the present, our world is developed through a variety of ways. There are many technologies that the human can follow and can’t follow because technology is complicated. Recently, there has been discussion about the use of Genetic Engineering to improve lives. What is Genetic Engineering? It is a part of Biotechnology that is a laboratory technique used by scientists to change the DNA of living organism, e.g., plants and animals. It is based on genetics, a science started from the early 1900’s. This technology makes us to have new species of plants and animals that are beneficial for human but at the same time, genetic engineering can be harmful.

To begin with, the advantages of Genetic Engineering are infectious diseases that can be treated by implanting genes that code for antiviral proteins specific to each antigen. Plants such like potatoes and watermelon can be enlarged by Genetic Engineering. Also, plants can protect themselves from the weeds. Moreover, Genetic Engineering can help reduce global warming because it can help the trees to absorb more carbon dioxide. As for animals, they can be strengthening by Genetic Engineering.

On the other hand, Genetic Engineering has disadvantages too. To start with, nature is an extremely complex inter-related chain consisting of many species linked in the food chain. It may have an irreversible effect with consequences yet unknown. And Genetic engineering borderlines on many moral issues, particularly involving religion, which questions whether man, has the right to manipulate.

All in all Genetic Engineering has both advantages and disadvantages that give many benefits to people in the world. I think Genetic engineering is high technology that we can learn about it and if we know, we can use it for our health and in our lives. Surely, Genetic engineering will benefit mankind medically, industrially, and agriculturally if we use wisely and disadvantages if we use badly. Everything has value for us.

Martail arts Essay

Martial Arts

Nowadays it is becoming more common to see examples of violent crime in newspapers and on television. Therefore, it is important that people are able to protect themselves. Martial arts offer a way to do this. The four most popular martial arts are Thai boxing, Tae kwondo, Kung Fu, and Karate. However, martial arts are not only a form of self defense, but also represent the history and culture of a country.

Thai boxing originated in Thailand during the Sukhothai Era between 1781 and 1951. It was spread in the Ayuthaya Era by Nai khanomtom, who was a famous Thai boxer. In 1996 Olympic Games in USA, Somluck Kumsing was the gold medalist. Now, Phanom Yeeram is famous for Thai martial arts film but he was not famous when he was a boxer. In a fight, Muay Thai allows the competitors to use foot, knee, elbow and fist. Before a competition, a boxer must 'wai kru' (pay respect to his coach) and 'ram muay' (dance to show boxing moves). Muay Thai has 5 rounds and each round takes about 3 minutes and there is 2-minute break between rounds. There are at least 3 referees for a Muay Thai competition. The score is usually given after each round. Muay Thai can also be used for self defense.

Tae kwondo is a Korean martial art. It is a way of kicking and striking. It was founded over 2000 years ago but only popularized in the 1950's by General Choi Hong Hi. Song Kook Dee was the first Tae Kwondo expert. Competitions consist of 3 rounds of non-stop contact with a rest between rounds. Junior and senior black belt competitors fight for 2 minute rounds with a 30 second break. kicks to the head score 2 points, while kicks to the body score 1 point. In event of a tie at the end of three rounds, a fourth "sudden death" overtime round will be held to determine the winner after a 30 second rest period. In the year 2000, Tae kwondo became an Olympic sport.

Kung Fu is a Chinese martial art developed from the earliest forms of martial arts introduced by Huangdi, the yellow emperor, around 2700 BC. Kung Fu is a philosophy suggesting deeper meaning. The following three elements must be present: motivation, self-discipline, and time. Strong, flexible muscles, management of the breath, and proper body mechanics are important for basic Kung Fu movements. Basics training involves simple movements that are performed repeatedly, such as stretching, stance work, conditioning, meditation and basic kicking and punching techniques. There are no rules in Kunng Fu because there no competitions, only shows. Professional players is Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li. There is no champion because there don't have competition.

Karate is Japanese martial arts developed from the Kung Fu which was very popular in Japan. Karate is mean "Empty Hand". In 14Th century, Daruma is the first person to start playing karate. He was a monk of Japan but practiced Karate at Saolin temple in China. The first public demonstration of karate in Japan was in 1917 by Gichin Funakoshi, at the Butoku-den in Kyoto. Karate can be divided into many divisions including gender, age, and weight. In Karate competition, there are 5 people needed for a game to take place including a designated referee, an observer, a secretary, a timekeeper, and a medic. The well known sport player of Karate was Christophe Pinna. He helped France to win championship in World Karate Federation tournaments in 1994 and 1996. In the present, Karate is not included in the Olympic yet but later in the future, it will be in the Olympic.

In conclusion, the world has many Martial arts and the most popular are Thai boxing, Tae kwondo, Kung Fu, and Karate. All martial arts are Asian, representing the history and culture of their country of origin. Everybody knows martial arts help people protect themselves. We should use martial arts intelligently, not just to harm another people. We should preserve the traditions of martial arts for the next generation.

Every thing will make you happy this town you can do anything if you want. You go to any where around this town. Everyone have assigned for themselves. And this town don’t have war, fear, and don’t have pain also .This town we called “UTOPIA”

Normalcy can make every thing perfect because if every people normal he can do any thing for community . Abnormalcy can make community have happy because every one can know about help together , and every one help together .

In the other hand Utopia society also has disadvantages . Such as normalcy it is can make every one is selfish because every one can do everything and every one don’t know about help together , and everyone don’t help together . Lake of choice for job and family it don’t have freedom about to choose some job and family . precision of language it don’t have about complication . Share feeling [secrete] it can do divide in community because when someone know about some thing of the other one ,it can be divide also. The abnormalcy they can not do work are perfect . The punishment and releases it is make every one fear ,for do every thing and every fear have a mistake.

Euthanasia

The Giver Euthanasia Essay/Ms. Sue

Euthanasia should not be legalized
By Visook

Euthanasia is mercy killing or good death. It can help some patients to have a happy death. Although many people in this world agree to legalize euthanasia, I strongly disagree with issue because of many reasons. Firstly, euthanasia is about taking control over life. We can’t control other’s life. Secondly, it is against the teaching of all religions. Thirdly, all human lives have equal value.

We can not control others’ life because every life has its freedom. Everybody can choose to be everything and go ahead with the dreams. You can not make a decision for anyone or control life and death. Although someone might be very sick, that person should have a chance to live. No one should decide when he/she should live or when he/she should die. You can not choose their death. Death is a natural loss. Euthanasia is ending life intentionally.

Secondly, it is against teaching of all religions such as Catholic, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism. All believe that Euthanasia is wrong. Catholics believe that “God is the creator human. You can not choose to end human life because you did not create it. Who dies or lives is up to only God to decide. Muslims believe that Allah decide death and birth. Buddhism believes that the right way or action for a human is not to kill human and animals. Therefore every religious teaching states that Euthanasia is wrong!

Lastly, all human life has equal value. Although you are a doctor, police, teacher, etc, everybody has different assignment but equal role in this world. Every assignment has its importance that is of equal value. Life is also the same. Although some people are rich and some people poor but everybody wants to be a good man. Nobody wants to be a bad man. You can not choose tell who is right or wrong and can not choose who should live or die because you have one life that you must value!

In conclusion, euthanasia should not be legalized. We can’t control other’s life because everybody has freedom of life. Euthanasia is against the teaching of all religions. The most important is all human lives have equal value. Therefore, Euthanasia is WRONG!

JONAS

The main character of The Giver is Jonas. He lives in a futuristic society. This society can be seen as perfect because they have eliminated all pain, fear, war and hatred. When children reach the age of 12, they are assigned careers.

Jonas is a good person who likes to help his parents as well as community. His family consists of four people. His father works as a nurturer of new born children. His mother works at the Department of Justice. Jonas also has a younger sister named Lilly. There is also a new born called Gabe. Jonas is smart and one of the best students in school. When he has free time, he takes care of children as well as the elderly. He also plays sports.

When Jonas turned 12, he was assigned to a very special program, unlike all the other children. This was because he was special in some way. It’s like he has a different eye than other people. Jonas is both intelligent and fearless. He helps his parents, his friends, young children and the elderly. He is always doing something different than other people. Even so, he is still very careful about breaking community rules.

student should not drive to school

How do you come to school? Some people come to school by bus, some by van, and others by car. If students come to school by car, it is important that they have a driver. In my opinion, students should not drive to school by themselves.

First of all, it contributes to global warming. When we driving, cars release carbon into the air. Which increases the greehouse effect. We should share car with another people for reduce carbon in the air. Maybe you can take school bus because it reduce greehouse effect.

It is also dangerouse because teenagers are usually impatient . When they rush to class they will drive too fast . It can cause accidents . When accidents occur they get injured and can't go to school. This wastes study time and put a burden on parents . Students do not have enough responsibility to drive sensibly.

Finally, students can not drive to school because it is against the law. Most students are too young to drive . Thai law states that student must be 20 years old before they can drive . Therefore , student can't have driving license .

Some people say driving to school can save money . But is not true , because if you drive to school you must buy a new car. And now in the world gas and oil are very expensive . And then if you buy a new car you must pay for insurance and road tax . All in all it does not save money . If you want to save money you should come to school by school bus

Student should not drive to school. Because student driving car to school it is dagerouse and it is against the law. If most student drive to school it cause global warming. Some people say driving to school can save money , actually it is not save money because you must buy a new car , insurance , road tax and gas or oil. School should alert student and their parents of the dagers of driving to school before serious accident occur.
